You Don’t Have to Navigate Life’s Challenges Alone

At Northern Rae Counseling, LLC, I understand the importance of finding a safe and nurturing space for your mental health journey. My dedicated practice is built on the foundation of compassionate, evidence-based counseling. I believe that true healing occurs when individuals feel genuinely heard and understood. My mission is to empower you with the resilience and practical tools necessary to face life's challenges with confidence, foster stronger relationships, and create meaningful change in your life.

Meet Megan!

I’m Megan Kriebel, LMHC-QS, and I am the owner and therapist at Northern Rae Counseling, LLC. I believe that seeking support is a meaningful step toward creating positive change, and I strive to provide a compassionate, safe, and judgment-free space where clients feel heard, understood, and valued.

I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling in 2013 and became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of Florida in 2017. I have been working in the mental health field since 2010, providing support to children, adolescents, adults, and families as they navigate a variety of life challenges. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to helping individuals recognize their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful change.

In addition to providing direct clinical care, I serve as a Qualified Supervisor for Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns in the state of Florida, supporting developing clinicians as they continue their professional growth and work toward independent licensure.

My clinical experience includes working in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric hospital settings, where I provided care to individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns and levels of need. These experiences have strengthened my understanding of crisis intervention, stabilization, treatment planning, and the importance of providing compassionate, individualized care during some of life’s most difficult moments.

Over a year ago, I transitioned into private practice, allowing me the opportunity to provide a more personalized approach to therapy and build meaningful therapeutic relationships with my clients. Private practice has allowed me to create a space where individuals and families can receive consistent support, feel empowered in their healing journey, and work collaboratively toward their personal goals.

Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, emotional regulation difficulties, self-esteem concerns, relationship challenges, and other concerns impacting daily life and overall well-being. My approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, integrating evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and strengths-based interventions. I believe therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and I work collaboratively with each client to develop goals and strategies that align with their unique needs, experiences, and values.

At Northern Rae Counseling, LLC, my goal is to walk alongside you through your healing journey by providing support, understanding, and practical tools to help you navigate life’s challenges and move toward hope, growth, and wellness.

Find answers to common questions about therapy, services, and getting started.

What can I expect during my first therapy session?

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We will discuss your concerns, goals, history, and what you hope to gain from counseling. This session is also a time for you to ask questions and determine if we are a good fit to work together.

How often should I attend therapy?

The frequency of sessions depends on your individual needs, goals, and treatment plan. Many clients begin with weekly sessions to build progress and consistency, while others may benefit from a different schedule.

Do you accept insurance?

I am currently working with insurance providers and continue to expand accepted insurance options. Please contact me to discuss current insurance availability and payment options. Self-pay rates are available.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Starting therapy is a personal decision, and seeking support is a meaningful step toward growth and healing. Therapy can be helpful for navigating difficult emotions, improving relationships, managing stress, building coping skills, and working through life challenges.

"She’s been such an important person in my life because I don’t know how I would be able to manage my life on my own, i wouldn’t make it alive!"

Written on Feb 28, 2026 after therapy with Megan for 3 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, trauma and abuse, anger management, and adhd

"Megan is one of the most insightful and compassionate therapists I’ve ever worked with. Her ability to hold space for complex trauma while helping me piece together the deeper truths of my story has been life-changing. She listens without judgment, reflects with clarity, and gently challenges when needed. In a world where many professionals default to labels or quick fixes, Megan brings wisdom, empathy, and precision. I’ve felt more seen, understood, and supported in her presence than I have in years of therapy elsewhere. She doesn’t just treat symptoms — she helps people reclaim themselves.

Thank you, Megan. You’ve helped me come home to who I really am."
